Farewell!

September 22, 2013 Farewell Talk

The main topic for my talk were these 4 words: First Observe, Then Serve

I included some comments from this talk http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2012/10/first-observe-then-serve?lang=eng given in last year's general conference. 

My mom and sisters were a little bit crazy but it looked nice and the lunch and desserts were delicious- THANKS! 

I also received my Eagle from the mayor of Taylorsville. I am now an Eagle Scout and an Elder. It was a great day! Thank you to all of my family and friends who support me.

My family will be updating this blog with my weekly letters. See you in 2 years! 

Opening my Mission Call

On June 5, 2013 I opened the highly anticipated mission call. I couldn't believe it as I read:

Dear Elder Witt,

You are hearby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months...You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Russian language. 

Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel though faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
